I Get One Per Week

Tall has told me not to post about law-dorkish stuff here. But I'm granting myself a 'one free pass per week' dispensation, so long as I bring the funny. Plus, this could really happen (or something much like it) in any profession where one works for the man. LegalGeek humor beats ScienceNerd "jokes" any day of the week.

As the daughter of a legal eagle, and a scientist, I would have to say that both legal and science humor eat dick.

But this was funny.

Come on tall one...make with the quark jokes.

Doood, that is hilarious. Almost as hilarious as the three of us being the only ones who make comments on this damn site. We need readers.

In one of my more creative moments, I thought that a cartoon strip in the style of Dilbert, but set in a laboratory setting would be HI-liarious. Than I remembered that it WOULD be. To me.

Ha ha, to me too, Kaiser....but that's about it....

I always swore that if I TA-ed a lab section, I would make my students recite the rifle speech from Full Metal Jacket.

"This is my pipet. There are many like it, but this one is mine...."

And, I would wear my goggles WAY TOO tight, so they smooshed my face all funny, and anyone who laughed would be on chemical waste duty after class.

I'm sadistic like that.

I always went the opposite way as a TA. I had Calvin & Hobbes on my quizzes, spelling contests (The question read, "Spell electrophoresis", and yes, some people got it wrong), and we watched SNL Celebrity Jeopardy on my laptop during downtime. Best. TA. Ever.

What a great TA you are! I am short, so I've got that Napoleon Dynamite complex thing going on...I preferred to be feared while I danced to Jamiroquai in moon boots in front of my students...

Also? I didn't realize the Pooh and Kaiser drawing on your blog moved until just now. I thought it was my cold meds acting up again...

Science and law humor? What you really need is some math jokes to spice it up:

What do you get when you cross an elephant and a banana?
Elephant banana sine squared.
